Head-On Crash Leaves Two People Seriously Injured In Camden County

Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries when a vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and hit another head-on in Camden County on Wednesday, Oct. 23, police said.

Police said the vehicle in the northbound lane crossed the center line on College Drive at Cherrywood Drive in Gloucester Township around 12 p.m. Arriving officers found two vehicles in the road with significant damage.

Inspira Basic Life Support and Jefferson Health Basic Life Support provided medical assistance at the scene. Both occupants were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. 

As of press time, no charges were filed. The identities of the individuals involved are being withheld pending further investigation and notification of family members.

The incident remains under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT). College Drive was temporarily closed southbound between Blackwood Clementon Road and Erial Road for approximately two hours.
